AMS Machine Works
Ultramodern, Comprehensive Asset Health Monitoring Software Application for Mechanical and Rotating Assets.
Asset management and condition monitoring are simplified in AMS Machine Works. This software empowers vibration analysts, reliability engineers, and maintenance technicians to easily monitor, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues for rotating production assets like compressors, turbines, pumps, fans, blowers, gearboxes, and others before they affect outputs or batch quality.
AMS Machine Works software greatly simplifies fault diagnosis and analysis by combining predictive maintenance techniques with comprehensive analytics to unveil easy and accurate assessment of machinery health in your facility. AMS Machine Works Version 1.8 ingresses vibration measurement from machinery health data acquisition technology:

AMS MACHINE WORKS
Harness measurement data from AMS machinery health technologies such as the AMS Wireless Vibration Monitor, AMS 2140 Machinery Health Analyzer, AMS 9420 Wireless Vibration Transmitter, AMS Asset Monitor, and AMS 6500 ATG to gain a unified view of asset health—from balance-of-plant to highly critical.
AMS 2140 now joins other AMS condition monitoring data acquisition technology in AMS Machine Works. This includes a new Portable Device Agent, a lightweight service that enables your laptop to sense when your AMS 2140 connects to the USB port. Once the device is sensed and discovered by your laptop, AMS 2140 communication is then routed to the AMS Machine Works server.
Users can now transfer routes and condition monitoring data from AMS 2140 to the AMS Machine Works database. Additionally, the service will also support Wi-Fi and Ethernet communication.
PREDICTION FOR HIGH-CRITICALITY ASSETS
The AMS 6500 ATG module in AMS Machine Works v1.8 is a powerful tool for industrial asset health monitoring, specifically for critical assets like compressors and turbines. Version 1.8 enhances monitoring with advanced data visualization, configuration, and analytics. Key features include real-time device status visualization, transient graph support for in-depth analysis, and flexible data collection scheduling triggered by events like RPM changes or alarms.
MongoDB integration enables high-resolution trend data and efficient management of transient graphs, providing operators with the option to retain detailed recordings or short snapshots. With a functional interface and streamlined data access, AMS 6500 ATG offers a modern, scalable solution for predictive maintenance of critical machinery assets.
Wireless and edge monitoring
AMS Wireless Vibration Monitor communicates to AMS Machine Works via the Emerson Smart Wireless Gateway (1410 and 1420 models) and performs in-depth vibration analysis of the monitored rotating assets. This includes complete vibration data including overall levels, energy bands, high resolution spectra, and waveforms.
AMS Asset Monitor with AMS Machine Works software form an online, continuous condition monitoring system that offers maintenance and reliability personnel an affordable, flexible solution for monitoring the health of a plant’s assets. Working in tandem, the device and software together enable plant staff to receive real-time updates on asset health from analytics within the device (at the edge), perform deeper analysis from desktop clients.
Both solutions offer flexibility for monitoring balance-of-plant assets ranging in criticality, and feature Emerson’s patented PeakVue and PeakVue Plus technology to greatly simplify machinery analysis.
MACHINERY ANALYSIS, SIMPLIFIED
PeakVue, a patented Emerson technology, can visualize distress signals on a machine that are simply not visible with other vibration measurements. Personnel with no special training in machinery diagnostics can easily act or suggest actions to avoid machinery failures.
Sometimes, basic vibration monitoring simply isn’t enough. Embedded within AMS Machine Works is Emerson’s unique PeakVue technology that filters out traditional vibration signals to focus exclusively on impacting, a more reliable indication of asset health in specific types of equipment.
The Most Modern and Comprehensive Rotating Machinery Asset Health Monitoring Application
AVAILABLE AS A CLOUD-HOSTED SOLUTION
Intuitive analysis dashboard interface allows users from the machine site to the boardroom to easily and quickly identify what’s important, access interactive anomaly documentation, and integrate with other software like AMS Optics.
Harness game-changing tools like Emerson’s patented PeakVue Technology, Long and Transient Waveforms and Fault Frequencies, as well as the ability to apply uniform analysis and consistent monitoring tools across your installed Emerson machinery health hardware.
Machine Journal is a web app within AMS Machine Works which enables Analysts to track problems developing in machines. Track work orders, add notes with supporting images and data, and easily aggregate machine data to conduct analysis for complex cases.
